Alliance POS Usage
Alliance POS Usage Guidelines
Overview
The SLYCE Alliance maintains multiple Player Owned Starbases (POS) across high security, low security, null security, and wormhole space. These structures are operated by individual corporations and designated members within those corporations.
As a result, POS usage is governed by general alliance-wide guidelines, while individual operators may apply additional restrictions at their discretion.
All members are expected to respect ownership rules and follow any specific instructions provided by POS operators.
General Purpose of Alliance POS Structures
Alliance POS structures serve multiple operational and logistical functions, including:
- Providing safe locations within a system
- Supporting fleet operations and logistics
- Acting as temporary or semi-permanent bases in various space types
- Supporting industrial and combat operations
These structures are key logistical assets that support alliance-wide activity across all regions.
Approved Usage
Alliance POS structures may be used for the following purposes, subject to operator permission:
Safe Location / Tactical Positioning
- Act as a safe spot within a system
- Provide system-wide fleet boosts when applicable
- Serve as a staging point during operations or wartime activity
Operational Shelter
- Temporary shelter during hostile activity or wartime conditions
- Emergency fallback location when operating in dangerous space
Regional Base Operations
- Used as a base of operations in low security, null security, and wormhole space
- Storage of ships for operational convenience
- Anchoring of personal or corporate containers where permitted by the POS owner
Industrial and Utility Services
Where modules are installed and available, members may utilize:
- Ship Maintenance Arrays for ship storage and fitting
- Compression Arrays for ore processing and logistics efficiency
- Reprocessing Arrays for material recovery operations
Access to these services may be restricted based on POS operator rules and corporate permissions.
Operational Restrictions
While alliance POS structures are shared resources, usage is subject to the following conditions:
- POS owners or operators may impose additional restrictions
- Unauthorized usage of restricted modules or assets is not permitted
- Members must respect corporation-level rules where POS structures are operated internally
- Any misuse of POS facilities may result in removal of access privileges
Summary
Alliance POS structures are valuable shared assets that support mobility, safety, and industrial capability across all areas of space.
Members are encouraged to use these structures responsibly, respect operator guidelines, and contribute to maintaining their security and functionality.
Proper POS usage strengthens alliance logistics, improves operational readiness, and supports both industrial and combat effectiveness across SLYCE space.
