Corp Authentication (note we use 'Alliance Auth' at a corp level)

Overview

False Gods uses a custom, open-source variant of Alliance Auth 5 reffered to in this article as Emu-Auth. It is the central authentication platform for corporation services, member management, and automation.

All members are required to authenticate every EVE Online character they own through the Emu-Auth system. This allows the corporation to manage access to Discord, internal services, and other corporation resources while reducing manual administration.

Failure to authenticate all characters may result in loss of access to corporation services or incorrect Discord permissions.

What Emu-Auth Provides

The Emu-Auth system is used to:

  • Manage Discord roles and permissions automatically.
  • Verify corporation and alliance membership.
  • Provide secure access to corporation services.
  • Support internal automation and administrative tools.
  • Enable future expansion of corporation infrastructure and services.

Authenticating Your Characters

Every member must authenticate all of their EVE Online characters.

Step 1 – Authenticate Your Main Character

Begin by logging in with your primary character using the Emu Auth portal.

Step 2 – Link Additional Characters

Once your main character has been authenticated, link every additional character (alt) to your account.

For each character:

  1. Select Login.
  2. Leave the default authorization checkboxes enabled.
  3. Complete the authentication process.
  4. Repeat until every character has been linked to your account.

All EVE Online characters should be registered, regardless of whether they are currently active within the corporation.

Discord Synchronization

After all characters have been successfully linked, synchronize your Discord account with Emu-Auth.

Discord Services

This process updates your Discord roles and permissions based on your authenticated characters and corporation membership.

RIFT intel tool

With your characters authenticated and Discord synced, the last service to set up is RIFT — the corporation's standard intel tool for staying alive in nullsec. RIFT plays audio alerts when hostiles are reported in our intel channels, tracks your characters across accounts, and routes through our jump bridge network.

Setting it up before making your journey to staging is strongly recommended. The full walkthrough, including our intel channels, sovereignty upgrades, and jump bridge configuration, is on the Rift Setup page.

Troubleshooting

If your Discord permissions are incorrect or you cannot access corporation services:

  • Confirm that your main character has been authenticated.
  • Verify that all alternate characters have been linked.
  • Revisit the Discord Services page and synchronize your account.
  • If the issue persists, contact a member of the Personnel or Leadership Team for assistance.

Video Guide

A step-by-step video guide demonstrating the authentication and synchronization process is available within the corporation Discord for members who require additional assistance. Here you can find the Video Guide
